We arrived in Siliguri from Delhi yesterday afternoon. The devil has been hard at work – 2 team members are not feeling well and I had to go to an emergency dental ER late on Saturday night. However we have been so blessed by the new faces and partners we have met at Aatma Vikas with Central India Christian Mission. We met with a new missionary family who is living here in Siliguri full time with his wife and their beautiful 6 children. I got to spend some time with their 11 year old daughter, and she shared with me that they really need our prayers and support. She was dealing with sad emotions from their move for the past month but she started praying and now she is beginning to feel better. She told me that she is aware that Satan attacks missionaries through their children and she is not going to hinder her fathers work. Can I just have some of the wisdom and courage and faith that this child has in her little heart? She has raised my bar tremendously. I will never be the same after meeting the women who have persevered through tragedy and abuse here in Siliguri. I thank God for the work Greg and Abhineeta have started here and I look forward to helping them further Gods kingdom through the help of their partners here.

More about our Partnership with Aatma Vikas:
Taking its name from the Hindi word for self-progress, Aatma Vikas is devoted to providing pathways to the mistreated and marginalized that allow access to economic empowerment, meaningful employment, restored dignity and transformed futures. Through its training centers, Aatma Vikas students are taught valuable skills such as sewing, jewelry making, electrical work, tractor and automobile driving and more. Compassion Christian is partnering with Aatma Vikas to open a new center that will reach out to women trapped in the darkness of the sex industry in India. We are excited to see what God will do through this new Partnership as we seek to provide hope to the hopeless and freedom to those in physical and spiritual bondage.
