I’ve been in Poland for a month and a half now and it’s been amazing! The first week we did Kontakt Tomaszów, which was service project all over the town like cleaning and painting apartments and painting fences around the town. It was great to get to see the finished results and the changed lives! After that week we’ve had 3 weeks of camps starting with kids multi sports. I was an assistant leader for one of the teams and it was a ton of fun to see the kids play sports in their free time and get to interact with them and learn about them, they also had a soccer tournament with many teams and it was fun to see everyone getting so into soccer for the week. After sports we had intermikser, which was a mixture of all that the camp has like sports, art, photography, English, and all different kinds of workshops. Then last week we had an international teenage basketball camp which was very fun and competitive and I got to meet all different kinds of people and talk about our own countries and just intermingle with each other. This week we just started fisharts which is a lot of art and music and singing and all different kinds of interests. I joined the photography workshop which has been fun to interact with different teens with what they like to do! Throughout the camps there have been morning and evening sermons that I know have already changed so many kids and teens lives through the messages and through the teams from all over who are being the hands and feet of Jesus with their actions and the way they portray themselves. It’s also been awesome to see so many teams from all over America come for a week and interact with the them and get to know them and why they came and build relationships with them and the campers. I personally have built strong relationships with all of the other interns as well and seeing their strong points and weak points and getting to build off of each other and grow each other up to help further our abilities through God, and that has been one of the most meaningful things to me that won’t leave me. I’m excited to finish the rest of this fishart camp and see more teens be lead to Christ. This Saturday another team from savannah comes, which my mom is a part of so im excited to get to see her after a long while! Next week we are doing Kontakt Lodz, which is more community projects and I’m excited to finish off my internship with such a great team and know that God has worked through me this summer to further His kingdom!
