Our team drove about 3 hours from our home base in Harare to Mhondoro to serve at the Kwari Primary School. We played games with the kindergarten and 1st graders as well as taught them David and Goliath through role play. Afterwards we spent the rest of the day painting the exterior of the school and made a lot of progress for our first day! It was wonderful to work alongside the village locals to help paint the school and get to know the children better. They warmed up to us nicely as the day went on. The village chief due to our hospitality is giving us two goats and a turkey! Can’t wait to go back and serve again tomorrow!
