We began our day with a community walk throughout the village of Travesia. We stopped by a friends house who usually works with the academy, but she is currently on maternity leave. We supplied her with diapers and after talking for a while, continued our extremely hot walk back to the house. After hanging out for a bit, we had lunch with the family here leading this academy. We then went to the local basketball court and cleaned it up for the village and played a little bit with some local teens. It was on the way back that I discovered what topoillos are. They are ice bags soaked into koolaid powder. There was some free time, so we all went to the beach and made an attempt to ride a paddleboard. Later in the afternoon, there was a devotional followed by dinner and then a workout. During the devotional, I talked about my life and showed all the Honduran boys that we experience some of the same challenges that these Honduran teens do as well. To have an extreme conclusion to our day, we had a workout that I am still attempting to recover from. With the energy and excitement that we all provided and received, it was difficult to not give 100% into the workout.
