Today was the day to draw the different groups into community. After breakfast, we had our first meeting with music as the common denominator. The language barrier was both bridged by strong instruments, keyboard, and vocals. One God moment layered into the next as the discovery that we all served one God was revealed.
After lunch, we visited a castle, fed local fowl, and shopped at a mall. Most people rode the bus, but five members of the team walked into town, enjoying the breezy and cool weather. The best part of the day was watching our new friends feed crusts of bread to ducks and swans.
We gathered in the evening as a more unified group. The music was more upbeat with the audience joining in singing. One of the evening’s highlights was a comical video of animals who would not yield on a bridge. It illustrated that cooperation helps everyone. Another was the playing of the Israeli national anthem.
We closed the evening hearing a blessed testimony of a dear brother in the Lord, whose life has been hard, but who testified to the goodness of God.
Respectfully submitted,
Mike
