Today was our last full day in Bolivar. This morning we spent time reflecting on our week and making some commitments to ourselves and to the Lord about how we are choosing to be good stewards of this incredible experience He’s given us. It was a really sweet time of fellowship and prayer together as we asked him to help us continue living a life on mission with Him when we return home tomorrow. We got to have an afternoon in Montanita, a local surf town.
Then, this evening, we went to church together in Bolivar. Carlos gave a great message on 1 Peter 2 about Jesus as the Cornerstone and how we are called to be living stones placed on His firm foundation. Then, three of the team members, JJ, Katie and Hannah all shared their testimonies. It was so exciting to see so many of the families from the homes we have visited this week at church tonight. We know it will be difficult to say goodbye to them tomorrow. But, as we have been learning this week, we are glad to know that we have brothers and sisters in Christ here in Bolivar serving the Lord just as we are serving Him in our own communities.
Their faith has encouraged us!
