This morning we woke up and ate breakfast. We started our session for the day. We worshiped and even though it was minimalist everybody could feel the presence of God in the room. During our session we talked about what it means to do ministry locally and how we can do it locally. Next we hopped on the bus and headed to Bolivar for the afternoon. When we got to Bolivar there weren’t many kids out because most of them were just getting home from school. We ate lunch and then went back to playing with the kids.

After lunch, some of us decided to visit the “Voodoo Hut”, aka a pig pen with one pig. It smelled delightful. I wish I wouldn’t have gone there because most likely that was the place where I got a tick on my foot (which made my night really eventful when I realized it was there hours later). After we got back, some of us decided to go to the beach with the kids. It was pretty chill and the most exciting part, besides Sam being stung on the throat by a jellyfish, was when we got a new record of 229 consecutive touches during volleyball. After the beach, we walked to the main plaza in downtown Bolivar. We saw the locals playing a similar game to volleyball called, Ecuaball. They invited us to a quick game of Ecuaball and even though we lost, we all had fun. We had dinner afterwards and thanked the awesome ladies who have cooked for us for the whole week. We took the bus ride home and gathered around to say our God Sightings and our Totally Ecuador Moments. We ended the night listening and dancing to music on the beach.
