Today we went to the Kigali Genocide Museum. I’m sure everyone had a tear in their eye during it or at least I did. Once we left we toured around the city in our group bus and its absolutely beautiful! We came back to our apartment in the heart of the city to find a great lunch that our wonderful cooks made. Then we went to La Columbia School and met with high schoolers who acted just like us even though we live half way around the world. We handed out the Love Is bracelets and we all “loved” it!
Reflecting back on today, there is one quote that stuck out to at the museum… “If you knew me and I knew you, you wouldn’t have killed me.”
