Today was another eventful and incredible day in Poland! This morning, the teams from yesterday returned to their projects from the previous day to continue working and bettering the community. The preschool playground project was postponed until tomorrow, which meant more helping hands in the painting of the amphitheater seats. Considerable advances in progress were made in all instances, and the day was made better by the weather- which was much cooler than yesterday.
As per yesterday, after the projects, we met up with a bunch of kids from the church and played tons of games with them in the park. Soccer, frisbee, football, baseball…you name it and kids were playing it. It was great to see the faces of pure joy and excitement from the kids, and being able to have a genuinely good time regardless of language barrier was truly amazing. Needless to say, it was a bit of a workout, and we returned from a long day of work and play both exhausted and satisfied.
The coolest thing so far has been seeing how God is moving so visibly in this community. Every little thing being done is making it better in some way, whether we’re immediately conscious of it or not, and because of this God’s light is shining through us. It makes me incredibly happy to know that God is using us as vessels for the advancement of His Kingdom in a country so far away, and that we are able to positively impact these kids. I’m hoping that this week continues to bring fantastic instances of impact and growth for not just the people of Poland, but our team members as well!
All the way from Poland,
Dana Brigance 😀
