Hola familia de mi grupo!
Already one day in to this amazing Ecuadorian experience and half of us practically are already fluent in Spanish! Today was the first day in the field of action and it was as exciting as it could be. Our three groups (soccer, surf, and VBS) were an instant hit with the local children there. Though it was a tiring and sunburned day (sorry Moms, no amount of sunscreen protected us) God showed himself in ways none of us could imagine. With newly paved roads, re-built infrastructure, and the happiness everyone had we all were awestruck by the way country’s thousands of miles away could be affected by the same love God shows in our homeland.
Tomorrow we go out to brave the day once again and have 6 year old children run circles around us with a soccer ball, but more importantly we go in hopes of showing and spreading Gods love to people who might’ve never even heard his name before. Everyone’s safe except for the afore mentioned sunburn and an occasional bug bite and we’ll continue to update everyone on the amazing thing Gods doing and the exciting adventures he puts us through.
With the best intentions,
-Ryan Brigance
