The DRT in Moore is settling in to their home for the week at a local church. They worshipped yesterday with the Operation Blessing crew and took some time to survey the area and do some team building. They’re also enjoying getting to know other volunteers who have traveled to Oklahoma to show love to the residents there. Please be praying for the team today as they start their work with OB doing debris removal and spending time with families. Specifically, we would ask that you pray for safety and health for the team. Here’s a quick update from team member Beth Calkins:
“Hello from Moore, Oklahoma! What an awesome day! We started off with yummy breakfast and a devotion. People from several other groups joined in our Sunday morning devotion, led by some of our Effingham Savannah Christians. We then took time to introduce ourselves again. By now, most of us know the names of whichever half the group we spent 20+ hours in the van on the way here. With such a large group and so many of Savannah Christian’s campuses represented, we have to make friends with our fellow Savannah Christians as well as people from other places.”
