Savannah Day was a big hit! Our team was in charge of almost all the activities for the day – and a great time was had by all. We started the day with outdoor devotions on a lovely morning, hearing about the constant love and presence of the Lord in our lives.
A trip to a recreated 19th-century village was on the agenda for the morning. Strolling leisurely through the restored buildings was followed by coffee and cold drinks for all. The highlight of the trip was definitely the time of sharing with our friends from Israel.
Savannah Day started after lunch. We sang, shared our stories and pictures, and worshiped together. For dinner, we cooked and served a Southern-style meal of barbecue chicken, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, sweet tea, and strawberry shortcake. Everyone loved it! It was a joy to serve our guests and friends.
The highlight of the day was hearing from several people how much the survivors are enjoying having us with them. New relationships are being built and old friendships are being strengthened as we share the love of Christ.
In His love,
Tammie
