In times of uncertainty and tragedy the church has a responsibility to respond with courageous compassion. Compassion is not just our name, it’s who we are. It’s what we do. Many people were impacted by Hurricane Irma and will be continuing to feel the impacts for weeks and months to come. We want to walk with them through every step of this difficult time.
Here are some ongoing needs in our community:
Yard debris clean up & tree removal – specifically chain saw work to cut up trees and move for pickup
Pulling up flooring & cutting out sheet-rock & insulation in flooded homes
Rebuilding work: laying flooring, installing insulation and dry-wall, electrical, cabinet installation etc.
Encourage, comfort and pray with homeowners. Maybe bring a meal or simply to call pray!
Donations of furniture & appliances for those whose insurance does not cover replacement of household items lost.
